Reading as a Family" at EB Devesinha: A Meeting that Strengthens Bonds and Promotes a Taste for Reading!...

Devesinha School, through the eTwinning project "Stories to Play", has promoted the "Reading as a Family" initiative, in which eTwinners invite their parents and other family members to read with them in the School Library. The aim is to strengthen the connection between the School and Families and encourage a taste for reading.

In this context, student D.P., from 2nd B, invited his mother to a joint reading of the book "Medo do quê?", by Rodrigo Abril de Abreu. At the end, our friend D.P. surprised his mother by dedicating a beautiful poem by Fernando Pessoa to her, showing her his love and the gratitude of everyone present for this delightful moment.

The initiative continued with the viewing of a video and the recording of a reflection, in the classroom, on the message of the book: seeing fears as opportunities to grow.

This project highlights how family involvement enriches education and encourages the habit of reading, which is so important for the learning and development of each child.

Together, we read more and better!
